Johanna Gossner is an Austrian clarinetist, Richard Wagner Young Artist of the Year 2023 and academist of the Vienna Philharmonic. She received her first clarinet lessons  with Christian Egger and with Max Bauer at the Tyrolean State Conservatory in Innsbruck. In 2015 she moved to Alexander Neubauer's class at the  Music and Art Private University of the City of Vienna. Master classes with renowned musicians and the summer academy in Oslo, Norway in 2018 and 2019 complement her training. Since 2021, Johanna Gossner has been studying with Gerald Pachinger at the Graz University of Music and at the same time completed the orchestra program at the Royal College of Music Stockholm and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra Stockholm with Andreas Sundén. As a substitute, she can be heard regularly with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Camerata Salzburg, the Stage Baden, the Vienna Concert Association, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna State Opera. She has already taken solo and chamber music concerts to Japan, China, Portugal, Scandinavia and Latin America. She is a winner of numerous national and international competitions. In 2018 she received first prize at the “Svirel International Music Competition Slovenia” in the solo category with the highest score of 100. With various chamber music formations, she is a three-time first prize winner at the Fidelio chamber music competition in Vienna and a scholarship holder in several funding programs. In the summer of 2020, Johanna Gossner received the 1st "Ari Kummer Prize", which was awarded as part of the Vienna Clarinet Connection's "ClariArte" clarinet festival.  This was followed by prizes at the International Cibulka Competition in Graz, at Musica Juventutis in Vienna, at the European Chamber Music Competition in Turin and at the North Competition in Stockholm.
